Job Description:
This established and fast-growing organisation is looking to expand its Finance team by hiring an experienced, proactive, and personable Accounts Payable Specialist. This is a key role within the business, responsible for managing the end-to-end purchase ledger process and ensuring suppliers are paid accurately and on time within a fast-paced, commercially driven environment.
You will be confident processing high volumes of invoices and demonstrate a strong understanding of UK accounting procedures and VAT regulations. Working within a busy finance team, you will take ownership of supplier invoice processing, statement reconciliations, payment runs, and query resolution. You will work closely with procurement, operations, and external suppliers, building strong working relationships across the business while supporting continuous improvement of AP processes and controls. Skills required
*Proven experience in an Accounts Payable or Purchase Ledger role, ideally with manufacturing, or a fast-paced commercial environment.
*Strong understanding of end-to-end accounts payable processes, including invoice matching, reconciliations, and UK VAT compliance.
*Strong organisational skills, with the ability to meet strict deadlines and manage competing priorities.
*Excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage supplier queries professionally and build strong internal and external relationships.
*Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., Sage, SAP, Oracle or similar).
