Job Description:
Position: Technical Network Architect
Location: Milton Keynes
Day Rate: £550-£600 p.d inside IR35
UKSV SC Clearance Required
We’re looking for a seasoned Technical Network Architect to support a high-profile central government programme. If you thrive in secure, complex environments and enjoy shaping robust, scalable network solutions, this role will suit you perfectly.
What you’ll bring
*Strong people skills and the ability to translate complex technical concepts with ease.
*Experience working in secure government environments.
*Deep knowledge of network architecture, including:
*Network topology and configuration
*Wireless architecture
*Firewalls
*Load balancing
*Inter/intra-site connectivity
*VPN configuration
*Public cloud connectivity
*Proven ability to produce high-quality architectural documentation (HLDs, LLDs, options assessments).
*Confident requirements management and ownership of technical deliverables.
*Working knowledge of auditing and security tooling.
*Strong understanding of NCSC, GDS, CIS, Cyber Essentials, NIST and wider UK government technology standards.
Desirable
*Experience working within a matrix organisation.
*Relevant technical certifications.
*TOGAF or equivalent architectural experience.
*Familiarity with public cloud services.
