Café Manager
Salary: £30,000 per annum
Location: Polegate / Westham area
37.5 hour week (earliest start 8:30am). Weekend availability essential.
Opening Hours: 8:30am to 4pm off peak and 8:30am to 6pm peak season, staff can accrue hours during the busy season and use these ways during quiet season if they wish.
Popular café in the Polegate/Westham area in East Sussex looking for experienced Front of House Café Manager to lead the team providing exemplary service to customers in this busy café.
You will be responsible for:
*Full front of house duties.
*Managing and overseeing a team of a mixture of permanent and zero hours workers.
*Leading the team, setting rotas, training and mentoring staff.
*Upselling and cross selling products.
*Monitoring daily expenses.
*Utilising the EPOS till system for processing customer bills and payments.
*Ordering and monitoring stock and supplies.
*Table service.
*Cleaning all areas including pot washing.
*Barista services and maintenance of coffee equipment etc.
*Ensuring all café areas are clean and tidy and meet health and safety standards.
*Nurturing relationships with customers to ensure the excellent reputation of the café.
You must be willing to work weekend and bank holiday shifts when required.

Requirements
*A minimum of 2 years’ experience within a Café management, Cafe supervisory or similar role essential.
*Barista experience.
*An understanding of health and safety.
*Excellent customer services skills.
