Job Description:
A well-established Civil Engineering Contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to take commercial lead on a portfolio of Infrastructure and Civils projects across the region.
This role offers autonomy, long-term career stability, and the chance to shape commercial strategy on technically challenging schemes.
Key Responsibilities:
*Taking full commercial responsibility across multiple civil engineering projects
*Managing cost control, forecasting, CVRs and monthly reporting
*Preparing and negotiating contracts, variations and claims
*Managing subcontract procurement, appointments and performance
*Overseeing valuations, payments and final accounts
*Working closely with operational teams to ensure accurate cost management
*Supporting junior commercial staff and contributing to wider commercial planning
*Ensuring compliance with contract conditions and company procedures
Experience & Skills Required:
*Strong background as a QS/Senior QS within Civil Engineering (Infrastructure, Highways, Drainage, Structures, Earthworks or similar)
*Thorough understanding of NEC contracts
*Excellent commercial awareness and a proven track record of managing project finances
*Strong negotiation, communication and stakeholder-management skills
*Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with delivery teams
*High attention to detail and strong analytical capability
