Data Platform Engineer I PostgreSQL I ADF I SQL Database I Schemas I Migration I Decommission I Financial Services I £500-£525 per day | Outside IR35 | 12-month initial | Hybrid Remote - London
I’m working with a high-growth, product-led scale-up who are rebuilding their entire data layer in-house after moving away from their legacy systems and processes.
They are in need of a hands-on Data Platform Engineer to design, build, and own a clean PostgreSQL-based backend data platform that powers the next phase of their growth.
Must-Have
*PostgreSQL (design, modelling, optimisation)
*SQL and relational database engineering
*Building backend data services (APIs, views, pipelines, ETL/ELT)
*Data integration with operational systems
*ADF or similar orchestration tools
*Migrating/decommissioning legacy data platforms
Nice-to-Have
*Experience in scale-ups or lean engineering teams
*Exposure to financial services
*Understanding of how front-end teams consume data
*Reverse-engineering EUC processes (spreadsheets, scripts, ad-hoc logic)
Contract Details
*£500-£525 per day
*Outside IR35
*12-month initial engagement
*Hybrid: roughly 4 days per month in the office (rest remote)
