Location: Wokingham
Hours: 8:30am – 5:00pm (30-minute unpaid break)
Salary: £26,500
Start Date: 4th March 2026
Contract: Full-time, permanent
This is a fast-paced, rewarding role where no two days are the same, and due to operational demand, we’re looking to hire quickly.
What you’ll be doing
*Handling and logging incoming calls, emails, texts and letters into the Highways Information Management System (HIMS).
*Managing emergency calls and logging time-critical information via telephone and PDA systems.
*Creating and updating enquiry records, defects and work orders.
*Ensure all relevant contractual performance indicators are met
*Running reports to support performance and contract compliance.
*Providing general operational administrative support across the team.
What we’re looking for
*Strong customer service or call-handling background.
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
*Ability to stay calm and prioritise effectively in busy or emergency situations.
*Confident using Microsoft Word and Excel.
*High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
*Proactive, self-motivated and "can-do" attitude.
*Experience in a control room or operational environment is beneficial (training provided).
