Ark Fire Protection are currently seeking an experienced Contracts Manager for our Fire Stopping department to join our team in Peterborough.
- Are you an experienced contracts manager?
- Do you have 3+ years experience in the fire stopping industry?
- Do you have extensive experience in the compliance of fire safety and installation?
- Can you lead a multi-site team to ensure the smooth and effective running of installations?

Role Responsibilities
A Contract Fire Stopping Manager plays a critical role in the fire stopping industry. As Contracts Fire Stopping Manager, you will be responsible for the day to day management of current and future fire stopping contracts.
*You will manage administration in an organised and efficient way including the completion of Risk Assessments, Method Statements and storage of safety documentation.
*You will stay up to date with current health and safety legislation and requirements, escalating changes where needed and incorporating such changes into your ways of working.
*You will possess excellent communication skills and be able to articulate yourself both verbally and in writing to ensure that key information is provided and conveyed as required.
*Installation and inspection of Fire Stopping to ensure a good finish and compliance with safety standards and Material Manufacturers details.
*Planning workloads for labour and material deliveries, to ensure sufficient quantities are on site at all times.
*You will be required to meet with clients and survey works in multiple locations across the Midlands and London, therefore a driving license and own vehicle is essential.
*You will actively engage in keeping your CPD (Continuous Personal Development) log up to date. In return we will be happy to place the right candidate on management training to include Level 7 Site Management Safety Training (SMSTS) and Fire Accreditation Scheme (FIRAS).
Requirements
You’ll be a well presented, approachable and professional, self-starter. Excellent organisation and time management is essential for this role with the ability to work under pressure. Your attention to detail will be thorough and accurate. You must demonstrate effective management and prioritisation of your workload and work to strict deadlines.
*NVQ Level 3 in Fire Stopping
*A minimum of 3 years industry experience.
*A clean UK driving licence
*FIRAS/Qmark Experience would be advantageous, however not essential.
*The role is predominantly office-based Monday to Friday 08:00 – 17:00 in Peterborough but will involve travel to and from sites.
(Please note occasional weekends may be requested to support client events)
