Business Support Lead
*Job Type: Temporary, Full-time (Hybrid)
*Location: Manchester, M60 2LA
*Duration: 3 months
*Pay: £15.43 per hour PAYE
*Working Hours: 8:30am - 4pm
Join the Directorate Support Service at Manchester City Council, providing essential business support functions for the Neighbourhoods and Growth & Development Directorates. This role is pivotal in supporting senior management to operate efficiently and effectively, ensuring the best outcomes for our community.
Day-to-Day of the Role:
*Provide comprehensive support to the Directorate Management Team, including diary management, email monitoring, and IT assistance.
*Organise and minute meetings, ensuring all participants are well-prepared and informed.
*Work on continuous improvement of business support processes to better meet the needs of the Directorates.
*Engage in diverse projects, communications, and events, contributing to both personal and professional development.
*Collaborate across teams to enhance business support functions and maintain high standards of service delivery.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Proven experience as a Business Support Lead, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to varying needs.
*Strong interpersonal skills, with the capability to communicate effectively and build positive relationships across all levels of the organisation.
*Analytical skills with the ability to assimilate complex information quickly and provide actionable insights.
*Proficient in planning and organising, prioritising tasks effectively according to complexity and urgency.
*Experience in project management, contributing to planning processes and timely resource provision.
*Competent in problem-solving and decision-making, with a track record of taking ownership and demonstrating sound judgement.
*ICT proficiency, capable of using multiple applications and systems.
*Commitment to continuous development and improvement in service delivery.
