Butler Rose is delighted to be supporting a growing and forward-thinking organisation in their search for a Management Accountant to join them on a 12-month fixed-term contract, with the potential to transition into a permanent position upon successful completion of the initial term.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, hands-on finance professional to take ownership of the day-to-day management accounts and play a key role in supporting the company’s continued growth and success.
The role is offered on a part-time basis (20-24 hours per week) and provides flexibility, with one day working from home and up to two days based in the office.
The ideal candidate will be someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys working across all areas of the finance function. As the business continues to grow, this role will evolve, offering excellent scope for development and increased responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:
* Bank Reconciliations: Perform regular bank reconciliations across multiple accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
* VAT Returns: Prepare and submit VAT returns in line with HMRC deadlines, ensuring compliance with current regulations.
* Month-End Reporting: Prepare, Finalise and report accurate and timely month-end financial reports, including journals, P&L’s, accruals and prepayments.
* Financial Support to the Director: Work closely with the company Director, providing insight into financial performance, supporting decision-making, and contributing to business planning.
* Process Improvements: Identify opportunities to streamline existing finance processes and improve reporting capabilities.

Candidate Profile:
* A strong background in month-end
* Confident working independently and taking ownership of the finance function
* Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
* Experience using accounting software and proficient in Excel
* Qualified, PQ, QBE or AAT qualified would be advantageous
