Salary: £32,188 (plus London weighing if you are based in London)
About the Role
Our client is currently looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join their specialist in-house Risk & Insurance Team as a Liability Claims Handler.
This role is perfect for candidates with experience in handling public liability claims-whether in the insurance industry, legal field, or a related setting. It would also suit a legal executive or similar professional looking to utilise their expertise in a dynamic, high-performing environment.
As part of a sector-leading team, you’ll play a key role in enhancing in-house claims handling capabilities and driving continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
*Investigate liability on individual cases
*Establish and manage claim reserves
*Assess and negotiate claims to resolution
*Ensure compliance with internal procedures and best practices
What We’re Looking For
*Strong understanding of legal liability and relevant legislation
* Familiarity with the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) and litigation process

* Ability to interpret insurance policy information effectively

* Skilled in investigation, evaluation, and negotiation

* Experience managing liability claims (public liability preferred)

* Proficient in case management systems and diary scheduling

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

* Strong customer service and teamwork abilities

* Results-focused with a proactive approach
