Multi-Skilled Clearance Administrator
To 30k DOE
Join a fast-growing logistics and customs operation where accuracy, teamwork and progression matter.
We are looking for a highly motivated Multi-Skilled Clearance Administrator to join our clients Customs Clearance & Data Bureau team. This is a varied and hands-on role combining customs documentation, data processing, client communication and operational support.
If you are detail-focused, process-driven and keen to build a long-term career in international logistics and customs compliance, this is an excellent opportunity with full training provided.
The Role of the Multi-Skilled Clearance Administrator
You will play a key role in preparing and processing import/export customs clearances while supporting internal departments and maintaining excellent customer service standards. Approximately 15% of the role will involve physical checks of vehicle contents.
Key Responsibilities of Multi-Skilled Clearance Administrator
*Monitor and manage shared workflow mailboxes
*Process and route emails to appropriate internal departments
*Communicate with clients by phone and email regarding job status
*Receive data files and job instructions via email and SFTP
*Prepare, check and process import/export customs documentation
*Calculate and verify duties, taxes and international charges
*Ensure full compliance with HMRC and Border Force regulations
*Use Sequoia, Savvy (bespoke system) and other customs entry systems
*Visually inspect vehicle contents when required
*Complete paperwork accurately and neatly
*Maintain organised workspaces and a positive team approach
*Contribute to continuous process improvement

*Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
*Excellent organisational and time management skills
*Confident IT user (Excel & Word)
*Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
*Professional communication skills (written & verbal)
*Flexible, reliable and trustworthy
*Able to follow procedures and work independently
Desirable:
*GCSE Maths & English (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent
*A/AS Level or Graduate calibre
*Knowledge or interest in IT, data or databases
*Excel skills including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables
*Experience with customs software or logistics systems
