Senior Solicitor - Litigation Specialist

About the Role:
Our client’s Legal Services team is looking for an experienced Senior Lawyer (Litigation) to lead on complex civil litigation for the authority. You will provide strategic legal advice, manage litigation files and represent the council’s interests in enforcement actions and court proceedings.
Key Responsibilities:
*Lead on major litigation cases, from strategy to resolution.
*Advise departments on legal risk and compliance.
*Draft pleadings, statements and legal submissions.
*Mentor junior lawyers and contribute to service development.
Requirements:
*Qualified solicitor with substantial litigation experience (ideally including public law and civil litigation).
*Strong leadership and case-management skills.
*Commitment to delivering high-quality legal advice in a local government setting
