Job Description:
M&E Operational Planner
*Location: Leatherhead
*Job Type: Full-time
The M&E Operational Planner is a pivotal role within T Brown Group, a leading property maintenance, repair, and installation organisation specialising in gas central heating and hot water services. This role is crucial for translating demand, capacity, and operational constraints into effective plans that optimise resources, protect SLAs, and support long-term operational performance.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Planning & Scheduling
*Allocate and schedule daily work orders, ensuring tasks are assigned based on priority, complexity, and resource availability.
*Review and balance workload volumes to optimise productivity.
*Coordinate with operational teams to align labour, time, and resources with service demands.
*Ensure completion of previous day’s jobs, booking return visits or escalating issues as necessary.
Resource Coordination
*Monitor engineer availability and identify patterns in delays or capacity gaps.
*Proactively manage resources to meet service level agreements (SLAs).
*Adjust schedules in collaboration with Field Operations Managers (FOMs) based on operational needs.
Communication & Stakeholder Liaison
*Maintain effective communication with engineers, FOMs, and internal teams to update, resolve conflicts, and clarify priorities.
*Manage tenant communications regarding scheduling changes to ensure a professional customer experience.
Performance Monitoring
*Track engineer progress, conduct checkpoints, and update systems.
*Investigate and resolve incomplete tasks, arranging necessary follow-ups.
Data & System Management
*Keep records and status updates in Business Central (BC) up-to-date.
*Provide accurate information to subcontractors and internal teams.
*Identify and implement improvements in planning processes and system usage.
