Job Description:
Homecare Operations Manager – Up to £75k depending on experience.
Excelcare (Homecare) are recruiting a compassionate, resilient and dynamic leader to work in partnership with the Registered Manager within our well-established Excelcare Homecare team, covering Tower Hamlets in London.
You will have considerable experience and understanding of Homecare operations at Registered Manager or equivalent level. You’ll require sound knowledge of CQC Regulations, legislation and a passion to deliver outstanding care delivery to our service users every day.
Main Responsibilities as the Homecare Operations Manager:
*Working closely with the Registered Manager to ensure compliance with CQC regulations and quality assurance processes.
*Establishing strong, professional relationships with all stakeholders including service users, their families, local authority, hospitals, commissioning teams, district nurses, therapists and GP’s.
*Attend and participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings, with both health and social care professionals.
*Conduct home visits as part of a multi-disciplinary approach to care delivery.
*Involvement in auditing all aspects of service delivery, including electronic care monitoring systems, care plans, medication, training, health and safety and relevant documentation.
*Approaching safeguarding situations with a positive and transparent culture, ensuring risks are addressed swiftly, with measures implemented.
*A proactive approach to learning and development to ensure continued development of teams and development of the service.
*Raising, reporting, responding and investigation of complaints, concerns and feedback received through the correct channels in line with company policies and procedures.
*Liaising and responding to all Local Authority contractual requirements, including contract monitoring quarterly returns, audits and feedback from quality monitoring home visits.
*Gathering feedback from service users and stakeholders, including through annual surveys.
*Oversight of complex care packages, providing ongoing support and guidance to team members as well as ensuring robust risk management.
*Supervision and appraisal of team members, including debriefs and reflective practice.
*Facilitating group care worker and office team meetings, as required.
*Management of any internal HR issues, including disciplinaries and grievances.
* Involvement in the review and implementation of policies and procedures.
*Oversight of new business referrals, with a shared responsibility of allocating the most appropriate team member to conduct assessments.
*Providing support and guidance to care workers and Care Coordinators working within the community.
*Oversight of recruitment, induction, mandatory training and mentoring of new team members.
*Endorse and adhere to policies and procedures governed by legislation and our regulators – CQC.
*Work closely with the office team to ensure the outcome is that all service users receive high quality care every day.
*Provide support and guidance to our On Call team during evenings and weekends (on a rota basis).
About you:
*Previous experience working in Domiciliary Care as a Registered Manager or Operations Manager.
*Excellent IT skills and competency in Microsoft Office packages as well as databases, people rostering systems and electronic care plans where possible.
*Level 5 qualification in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) OR be willing to work towards this.
*Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills with an eye for detail ensuring accuracy of data.
*Ability to work under pressure with changing demands that require you to be responsive and flexible.
*Working knowledge of quality control procedures within the Health and Social Care Sector
*Excellent people skills with the ability to provide an exceptional level of service.
