£48,000 - £65,000
Due to continued growth, a client-centered accountancy practice is seeking an experienced and fully or part-qualified Accountant to join its London office. This is a newly created position offering the opportunity to work closely with the Directors, oversee a varied client portfolio, manage team workflows and play a key role in driving the firm forward. The role is ideally suited to someone who is technically strong, commercially aware and passionate about delivering exceptional client service within a collaborative and ambitious environment.
Role Responsibilities
*Take ownership of a diverse portfolio of clients, providing high-quality service and tailored business advice.
*Prepare, finalise and review statutory accounts for Limited Companies and Partnerships.
*Prepare management accounts, corporation tax returns and personal tax returns.
*Review company accounts, self-assessment tax returns and VAT returns prepared by junior staff to ensure accuracy and compliance.
*Manage and mentor junior team members, overseeing workflows and supporting their professional development.
*Attend client meetings, represent the firm professionally and provide proactive advice and practical solutions.
*Identify opportunities for client growth and contribute strategically to the continued development of the firm.
*Coordinate workloads effectively to ensure deadlines and client expectations are consistently met.
Personal Requirements
*Fully or part-qualified ACCA, ACA, or equivalent.
*A minimum of five years’ recent experience within an accountancy practice environment.
*Strong leadership, delegation and mentoring skills with the ability to inspire and support a team.
*Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a client-focused approach.
*Proactive problem-solving ability and confidence in identifying opportunities for improvement and growth.
