LB Design Recruitment is working with a busy and well-established architectural practice based in central Southampton. The studio specialises in residential projects for large national housebuilders and smaller regional developers across the UK, delivering schemes ranging from 10 to 2,000+ homes, including low to medium-rise mixed-use new builds and refurbishments.
Due to continued growth and an increase in new work, they are now looking to recruit Architectural Technicians / Technologists at various levels to join their expanding team.
You will be involved in the technical delivery of UK residential housing projects, working closely with the wider team to produce and coordinate detailed drawing information.
Responsibilities:
*Working on the production of residential working drawings
*Checking, approving and coordinating third-party design drawings for technical issues
*Producing external works and conveyance layouts to client briefs, including coordinating with civil engineers
*Attending site visits and client meetings
Key Requirements
*Experience working in a similar UK-based role
*Experience working on UK residential developer housing projects
*Proficiency in AutoCAD (essential); Revit experience beneficial
*Thorough understanding of current UK Building Regulations
This is a full-time position within a centrally located Southampton practice, conveniently situated within walking distance of Southampton railway station and the main bus hub. Hybrid working is available following an initial office-based induction period, along with flexible working patterns to accommodate individual circumstances.
