Are you an organised and detail-focused Accounts Payable professional looking for your next opportunity? Our client is seeking an enthusiastic Accounts Payable / Accounts Clerk to join their growing finance team. This is a great role for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in accuracy and efficiency.
The Role
You’ll play a key part in ensuring the smooth running of the Accounts Payable function. Day-to-day, you will:
*Manage the AP inbox, submitting invoices for approval and escalating queries
*Process supplier invoices accurately and on time
*Match statements, approval emails and invoices
*Prepare and process payment runs (including bank transfers)
*Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies
*Support month-end closing activities
*Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date
*Handle supplier enquiries and maintain positive relationships
*Assist with expenses, filing and audit documentation
*Carry out general admin and finance duties as required
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
*1–3 years’ experience in Accounts Payable or general accounting
*Strong Excel skills and good understanding of VAT
*Experience using accounting systems (Sage is a bonus)
*Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
*Strong organisation and time-management skills
*Confident communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
*Ability to handle confidential information professionally
