The Opportunity Are you an expert in Positive Behaviour Management? We are seeking a resilient SEN Teacher (Qualified or Unqualified) to join a specialised Alternative Provision in Colne. This role focuses on leading a Class 6 SEN group, specifically designed for students who require a Nurture Group approach due to complex needs.
The Role & Technical Requirements As the lead educator for this small cohort, you will be responsible for the delivery of a bespoke curriculum tailored to students with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health), ASC (Autism), and ADHD.
Key Responsibilities include:
* EHCP Management: Implementing and tracking progress against specific Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) goals.
* Targeted Intervention: Delivering literacy and numeracy interventions for students with EBD (Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties).
* Safeguarding: Maintaining a "safety-first" environment in line with Ofsted and school-specific DBS and compliance standards.
* De-escalation: Utilising Positive Behaviour Management techniques to support students during periods of dysregulation.
Candidate Requirements * Experience: Proven track record in an Alternative Provision, PRU (Pupil Referral Unit), or SEMH school.
* Skills: Expertise in ASC/ADHD Support and the ability to differentiate lessons for diverse learning levels.
* Qualifications: While QTS/QTLS is preferred, we welcome applications from Unqualified SEN Teachers with significant frontline experience in specialist settings.
* Resilience: A "solutions-focused" mentor capable of managing the unique challenges of a Class 6 SEN environment.
