The Opportunity
*Interim PA to Legal Team (12-Month Assignment) – Paddington, London
*Global Engineering Manufacturer
*PAYE: Up to £20.51 per hour (DOE)
*Full-time (37.5 hrs) or Part-time (30 hrs / 4 days per week)
*Office-based | Monday–Friday | 9am–5pm with some flexibility

Our global engineering client is seeking an experienced Personal Assistant to support their busy Legal Team on an initial 12-month interim basis, with the possibility of extension.

This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role within a high-performing, friendly team, providing first-class administrative, organisational and operational support.

Key Responsibilities
*Providing personal and administrative support to the Legal Team
*General secretarial duties and office administration
*Supporting the team across Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
*Managing diaries and calendars
*Scheduling meetings and coordinating travel arrangements
*Assisting with legal operations admin, including matter admin, vendor invoices and legal spend tracking
*Handling incoming calls to the department and redirecting/taking messages
*HR administrative support, including sickness and holiday records and payroll system input
*Reporting IT faults and acting as liaison with the technical team
*Supporting compliance administration
*Acting as a point of contact for company policies (travel, expenses, entertainment)
*Maintaining document management systems
*Training staff on systems where required
*Booking external training courses and managing related subscriptions and invoices
*Providing cover for other office staff where needed

Critical Skills & Knowledge
*Able to work autonomously with minimal supervision
*Strong organisational and workload-prioritisation skills
*Methodical, detail-orientated and able to manage multiple tasks at once
*High competence across Microsoft systems, and ideally Ariba, Concur, AMEX or similar tools
*Polished, professional and customer-focused approach
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills
*Confident liaising at all levels both internally and externally
*Flexible, hands-on and adaptable

Qualifications & Experience
*Minimum GCSEs (Maths & English) or equivalent
*Further education beyond A-Level preferred
*First aid training beneficial
*Proven experience in a similar administrative or PA role
*Experience managing small office environments
*Previous experience in a legal team or law firm is advantageous but not essential
