Security Officer – (Whiteley, Portsmouth)
Pay: £15.00 per hour
Schedule: Friday to Sunday
Shifts: 06:00–18:00 or 18:00–06:00 (1-hour break)
Contract Length: 3 months (starting March)
We are currently recruiting a professional and proactive Security Officer to work within a busy shopping mall located in Whiteley, Portsmouth. This is a key role focused on maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for all customers and retailers.
Key Responsibilities
*Conduct regular and thorough patrols of the mall
*Provide a visible security presence to deter theft and anti-social behaviour
*Ensure the safety and security of customers, staff, and the wider site
*Respond effectively to incidents, emergencies, or customer concerns
*Work collaboratively with onsite teams to maintain a high standard of security
Requirements
*Valid SIA Security Licence (essential)
*Full UK driving licence (essential)
*Ability to provide 5 years of continuous work history for referencing
*Excellent communication skills and strong customer service approach
*Reliable, professional, and confident in managing security situations
*Ability to commit to weekend shift patterns
