Job Description:
We’re currently partnering with a leading global insurer to recruit an experienced Energy Claims Adjuster to join their Corporate Claims team.
This is a technically focused role handling a varied portfolio of complex Energy claims across upstream, downstream, operational power and renewables risks. The position offers strong exposure to both lead and follow claims within the London Market, alongside a collaborative and forward-thinking team environment.

The Role You will manage your own portfolio of Energy claims from first notification through to settlement, operating within your delegated authority and in line with internal claims handling procedures.
You’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality technical claims management, ensuring accurate coverage analysis, effective stakeholder engagement and robust reserving practices.
Key Responsibilities * Manage a portfolio of Energy claims (lead and follow) across multiple classes

* Conduct coverage analysis and policy interpretation to determine liability

* Investigate, negotiate and settle claims within authority limits

* Set and maintain accurate, realistic and timely reserves

* Liaise with brokers, clients, loss adjusters, solicitors, experts, MGAs and TPAs

* Collaborate with Underwriters, Risk Managers, Finance and international network offices

* Support the management of international programmes

* Identify and pursue subrogation and recovery opportunities

* Maintain accurate records for audit and regulatory purposes

* Contribute to departmental projects and continuous improvement initiatives

* Support broker engagement strategies within the Energy class

About You * Experience handling Energy claims within the London Market

* Experience managing both lead and follow claims

* Strong technical understanding of Energy policy wordings and coverage

* Knowledge of regulatory requirements, case law and market practice

* Experience with London Market systems (e.g. CLASS/ECF2)

* Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

* Proven ability to manage external vendors and experts

* Collaborative mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement
