Commutable from: Kettering, Wellingborough, Market Harborough, Northampton
Pay Rate: £17 to £17.50 per hour
Shift: Monday to Thursday 7:30am to 4:30pm, Friday 7:30am to 2:30pm

About the Company
A Northampton based manufacturing specialist with a supportive working culture and strong focus on staff development. Due to continued production growth, they are now looking to add an experienced Charge Hand Mig Welder to their team.
The Role
This is a hands on supervisory role where you will lead a team of MIG welders while also supporting production through your own welding when required.
*Oversee a team of 5 to 10 MIG welders on the production floor
*Ensure all welding work follows drawings, specifications and welding procedures
*Check welds for defects, correct joint preparation and proper penetration
*Perform visual inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards
*Step in to weld when required to maintain smooth production and meet deadlines
About You
*Proven supervisory experience in manufacturing with welding experience
*Proven experience as a MIG Welder in a fabrication or manufacturing environment
*Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and welding specifications
*Confident working with mild steel of various thicknesses
*Knowledge of welding standards, tolerances and inspection methods
*Strong communication and team leadership skills
Licence and Certifications
*Valid UK Driving Licence desirable due to location
*Welding certification relevant to candidate experience
