Robert Half Finance and Accounting are currently looking to recruit a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join an exciting Retail company experiencing huge growth based in Frome. For the right person the client is offering a very competitive:
£28,000 - £30,000 plus wider benefits package
Role responsibilities will include but not limited to:
*Receive and review supplier invoices
*Match invoices to Purchase Orders
*Post invoices accurately onto the accounting system
*Query invoices where discrepancies exist (missing PO, incorrect amounts, etc.)
*Ensure invoices are authorised in line with company procedures
*Maintain strong internal controls and adherence to PO policy
*Reconcile supplier statements monthly
*Assist with bank reconciliation where required
*Set up new supplier accounts following approval procedures
*Maintain supplier records accurately
*Resolve supplier queries promptly and professionally
Person specification:
*3+ years purchase ledger experience
*Strong communicator and able to "push back" when required
*Good systems knowledge and comfortable with Excel
*Excellent team player
