Job Description:
We are recruiting an experienced and reliable Part-Time Bookkeeper to work for our thriving growing client located in Hoddesdon. This role would suit someone who enjoys working autonomously, has strong attention to detail, and is looking for part-time hours. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a friendly and growing organisation. The role has been created to strengthen our client’s day-to-day bookkeeping and account’s function while maintaining a strong team and client-focused culture.
Candidates must be an experienced bookkeeper with knowledge of Xero, QuickBooks or Sage. Payroll and tax experience is advantageous, but not essential.
For the right candidate, our client can be flexible on hours, with availability ranging from 7 to 21 hours per week, structured to suit both business needs and individual preferences. This role offers a generous salary, dependent on skills and experience.
Key Responsibilities
*Bookkeeping for a variety of clients/business needs
*Assisting with accounts preparation
*Maintaining accurate financial records
*Supporting the wider team with general accounts-related tasks
*Using accounting software to manage and process financial information
*Bank reconciliations and maintenance of accurate financial records
*Assisting with accounts preparation
*Supporting month-end and year-end processes as required
Skills & Experience
*Proven bookkeeping experience essential
*Experience with accounts preparation
*Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage
*Payroll and/or tax experience would be desirable but not essential
*Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
*Ability to manage workload independently and meet deadlines
*Must be IT Literate including the use of Microsoft Word and Excel
