In this role, you will support the Principal Associate and work closely with other Sales Order Processing (SOP) team members. You will play a key part in managing sales orders, revenue and invoicing milestones, and ensuring the smooth financial administration of multi-site and long-term projects. Collaboration with Business Development teams, Operations and Finance is central to this position.
Key Responsibilities
*Maintain accurate sales order and revenue records from project set-up through to fulfilment, ensuring compliance with contractual and accounting policies.
*Translate client contracts into sales orders/projects within the ERP system, including creating invoicing and revenue recognition profiles.
*Trigger invoice and revenue milestone requests in a timely manner—at contract signature, monthly intervals, completion milestones or project close.
*Work closely with Business Unit Directors and Project Managers to confirm and release all required milestones.
*Support Finance teams with accurate monthly revenue recognition and budgeting.
*Review contracts (quotations, work orders, purchase orders) for accuracy, completeness and compliance.
*Provide timely project reporting and analysis to Project Managers.
*Create and update detailed Excel tracking sheets, particularly for multi-site, complex or long-term projects.
*Raise internal purchase order requests for multi-site work.
*Support continuous improvement by identifying enhancements to processes and procedures.
Candidate Profile
You will thrive in this role if you:
*Have experience working with complex contracts or can develop this capability with training.
*Are comfortable working within ERP systems (training provided on specific platforms).
*Build strong cross-departmental relationships.
*Have strong communication skills and can influence stakeholders effectively.
*Are self-motivated, persistent and able to manage multiple tasks independently.
*Can adapt quickly to workplace changes.
*Are a strong team player who collaborates well with others.
*Demonstrate a professional approach, sound judgement and commercial awareness.
*Are committed to your personal development.
Requirements
*Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar sales order, contract administration or financial operations role.
*Minimum 2 years’ experience entering or managing contracts within an ERP system.
*Experience supporting finance activities such as budgeting, forecasting and analysing contract spend.
*Strong numeracy skills and advanced Excel ability (e.g. invoice profiling, complex spreadsheets).
*Good working knowledge of MS Office applications.
*Highly organised, methodical and detail-focused.
*Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
*Good standard of education (GCSE English & Maths essential, A-levels or higher preferred).
*Clear and confident written and verbal communication skills.
