At Paragon Social Care, you won’t just fill shifts — you’ll show up when it matters most for children and young people who need stability, care, and someone who truly believes in them.
We’re growing our team of dedicated Children’s Support Workers and are looking for people with heart, resilience, and the drive to make a difference. Experience is welcome — but the right attitude is everything.
?? About Us Our mission is clear: Excellence Through Understanding.
We deliver 24/7 wraparound support to children and young people in local authority care, particularly during times of transition or uncertainty. Our focus is always on safety, emotional wellbeing, and helping young people move forward with confidence.
Every interaction matters. Every moment counts. And you could be the person who changes the direction of a child’s life.
?? The Role Each shift brings something new, but your impact is constant. You’ll be:
*Providing safe, trauma-informed care
*Creating structure, routine, and a calm environment
*Supporting education, independence, and life skills
*Preparing meals and promoting healthy daily habits
*Ensuring young people feel heard, respected, and valued
*Attending appointments and community activities
*Transporting young people using your own vehicle when required
*Helping them transition positively into their next placement or future pathway
?? What You’ll Need ? Experience supporting children or young people (voluntary or paid)
? A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
? Emotional resilience, empathy, and patience
? Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and sleep-ins
? Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to apply)
A Level 3 qualification in Children’s Residential Care (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
?? What We Offer ?? Competitive hourly rates: £17.50 - £28 (depending on shift type)
? Comprehensive free training, including:
*21 online training modules
*Face-to-face training in safeguarding, trauma-informed practice, and positive behaviour support
?? Genuine progression opportunities — Senior Support Worker and beyond
? Benefits you’ll appreciate:
*Flexible working patterns - Agency role!
*Casual dress code
*Company pension
*Referral bonus scheme
?? Why Join Paragon? Because children don’t just need care — they need consistency, compassion, and belief.
If you’re ready to step into a role where your presence matters and your work changes lives, we’re ready to support you every step of the way.
?? Apply now and help shape brighter futures.
This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check. Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people is a priority, and all applicants are expected to share this commitment.
