Job Description:
On an exclusive basis, greenwellgleeson are recruiting for a Financial Controller to work with an SME manufacturing business based in Birmingham.
Responsible for managing the day-to-day finance function and supporting the Finance Director with financial reporting, budgeting, controls, and performance analysis.
Duties of the role will include:
* Manage the accounts team (purchase ledger, sales ledger, payroll).
* Oversee supplier payments and cashflow control.
* Produce monthly management accounts, KPI reporting and variance analysis.
* Lead budgeting, forecasting, and year-end/audit processes.
* Manage VAT, Intrastat/EC Sales, and intercompany recharges.
* Reconcile bank and balance sheet control accounts.
* Oversee invoice finance facility reporting.
* Monitor capex, tooling control, stock movement and costing.
* Ensure compliance with policies and improve finance systems/processes.
Skills, Requirements, Qualifications
* ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
* Team management experience.
* Manufacturing/engineering finance background with stock/costing knowledge.
* Strong technical accounting, reporting and analytical skills.
* Excellent IT (Office 365), communication skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
