Financial Reporting Accountant
Location: Blackburn - Hybrid
Reporting to CFO

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and commercially focused Financial Reporting Manager to join a private equity-backed business. The business is part of a larger, well established group and is entering a significant phase of expansion and operational scaling.

This is a high-impact role working closely with the CFO, offering genuine exposure to strategic decision-making within a dynamic, acquisitive environment.

The Role:

You will play a pivotal role in driving financial performance, strengthening controls, and supporting strategic growth. Key responsibilities include:
*Production of monthly management accounts and performance reporting
*Cashflow management and forecasting
*Group budgeting and ongoing reforecasting
*Financial modelling and appraisal support
*Preparation of statutory accounts and VAT returns
*Ensuring compliance with all statutory obligations
*Supporting audit preparation and enhancing financial processes
*Leading and developing a small, high-performing finance team
*Translating financial performance into clear insight for operational leaders


Youl will need to be:
*Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
*Strong technical grounding with commercial awareness
*Comfortable improving processes in a scaling business
*A proactive, hands-on leader who enjoys building capability within a team
*Strong communication skills with the ability to influence non-finance stakeholders
