Job Description:
Market 36 Recruitment are delighted to be supporting Essex County Council (ECC) on behalf of Tendring District Council in recruiting a Public Facilities Security Operative on a part-time temporary basis. This role involves opening and closing public conveniences and car parks across multiple sites, ensuring security and safety procedures are followed at all times.
Hours: 4:30am – 7:30am and 8:00pm – 11:00pm
Shift Pattern: 3 days on, 3 days off, 2 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 2 days off (including early mornings, late evenings, weekends and bank holidays)
Due to the nature of this role, the successful candidate must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle (mileage paid). You must also be able to drive Council-owned vehicles.
Duties Will Include
*Opening and closing public conveniences and car parks
*Checking all cubicles are empty prior to locking facilities
*Completing security checks as instructed
*Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety regulations at all times
*Locking and unlocking facilities and safeguarding keys
*Assisting members of the public to safely use the facilities
*Reporting any faults or defects to the Cleaning Supervisor
*Working independently and managing time across multiple sites
*Undertaking additional duties as directed by the Cleaning Supervisor
The Ideal Candidate
*Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle
*Able to drive Council-owned vehicles
*Reliable and flexible with working hours
*Able to work early mornings and late evenings
*Comfortable working independently across several sites
*Good understanding of health and safety practices
The successful candidate will be shown the full route by the Cleaning Supervisor.
