HR Business Partner
Merseyside
£60,000 + Benefits
Are you an experienced HR professional ready to take full ownership of site-level HR within a thriving manufacturing business in the Merseyside area?
We are seeking a confident, commercially minded HR Business Partner to lead and deliver a comprehensive, compliant and forward-thinking HR service which is aligned to both local site priorities and wider business strategy.
This is a senior, hands-on role with real influence, balancing strategic HR leadership with operational accountability.
What will the role involve?
*Assuming full accountability for site HR operations, governance, and compliance
*Acting as the main point of contact for all people related matters on site, providing HR advice to line managers and the senior leadership team
*Building constructive relationships within a unionised manufacturing environment
*Translating the wider business’ HR strategy into effective, practical local implementation
Key areas of responsibility include:
*Payroll delivery, accuracy and compliance
*Pension schemes, policies, and governance
*HR policy development and local implementation
*Employee relations and disciplinary processes
*Absence management and occupational health provision
*Recruitment and workforce planning
*Headcount management
*Employee onboarding and future engagement
Ideal Skills and Experience
*Proven track record in a previous Business Partner or Senior HR Manager role
*Experience working within an operational environment, such as Manufacturing, Engineering or Logistics
*Confidence managing HR within a unionised environment
*Comfortable handling complex employee relations cases
*Experience in payroll and pension scheme governance
*Strong commercial awareness, with the ability to balance business needs with compliance
*Calm and credible demeanour with strong influencing skills
*Detail-focused with strong analytical and governance capability
