Job Description:
We are working with a well-established, multi-site organisation to recruit a confident and capable Senior Finance Officer to join their central finance team.
This is a hands-on role with real responsibility - ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys both operational finance and supporting stakeholders.
The Role You will play a key part in ensuring accurate, compliant and efficient financial operations across the organisation.
Key responsibilities include:
* Preparing weekly BACS, same-day and international payment runs
* Submitting monthly VAT returns and reconciling VAT accounts
* Maintaining purchase and sales ledgers
* Processing journals, credit cards and petty cash
* Managing supplier and customer set-ups
* Raising sales invoices and proactively chasing debt
* Supporting budget holders with financial control
* Deputising for the Finance Management Accountant when required
* Providing guidance and support to Finance Assistants
About You * Experienced in a busy finance function
* Strong understanding of VAT and financial controls
* Confident with payment runs and reconciliations
* Detail-oriented and highly organised
* Proactive, reliable and able to work independently
