MRK Talent Solutions are proud to be partnering with a leading international engineering and manufacturing business in the search for a Group Financial Systems & Consolidation Accountant, based in Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire, offering a flexible hybrid working arrangement.
This job is a 50:50 split between financial systems and accounting and would suit either a strong financial systems person with some accounting background or an accountant who has been heavily involved with systems work. The role is to be responsible for supporting the group’s financial systems, consolidation processes and management information within a complex, listed and internationally operating environment. The role sits within Group Finance and offers broad exposure across global finance operations, combining technical accounting, systems ownership and cross-functional collaboration.

The successful individual will have a background as a financial systems administrator and ideally some financial reporting as well. You will demonstrate excellent attention to detail, strong Excel skills and a problem-solving mindset, alongside the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Experience within a large corporate environment, complex consolidations or enterprise performance management systems would be advantageous, along with a proactive and organised approach to working within tight deadlines.
Responsibilities include:
*Acting as system administrator for the group consolidation and management information systems, including user management, development, testing and deployment.
*Developing and maintaining data entry templates, reports, validations and workflows within financial systems.
*Providing training and ongoing support to the global finance user community and resolving helpdesk queries.
*Supporting cross-functional teams including tax, treasury, HR, company secretarial and health & safety with system development and reporting.
*Reviewing system outputs and liaising with group systems specialists to resolve issues.
*Developing financial models to support forecasting, budgeting and strategic planning processes.
*Supporting the monthly group close and preparation of consolidated management accounts.
*Assisting with intercompany reconciliations, balance sheet reviews, equity roll-forwards and foreign exchange differences.
*Supporting quarterly forecasts, annual budgets and longer-term strategic forecasts.
*Preparing audit deliverables and supporting external audit and reporting processes.
