Senior Accountant - Role Overview
*Prepare statutory accounts, management accounts, and VAT returns for a varied client portfolio.
*Act as a key client contact, building strong relationships and providing accounting support, including visiting client premises as required.
*Support and mentor junior team members, working closely with Managers and Partners to develop team capability.
*Utilise accounting software including ProAudit, IRIS, Xero, and Sage to deliver accurate and timely work.
*Ensure compliance with accounting standards and firm quality processes.
*Work with owner-managed and family business clients, providing practical, value-adding guidance on accounting and reporting matters.
Senior Accountant - Role Requirements
*Fully qualified ACA or ACCA preferred.
*At least 5 years’ accounting experience, ideally within a practice environment.
*Experience working with UK owner-managed/family businesses, particularly FRS 102 reporting.
*Strong technical accounting ability and good commercial awareness.
*Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with clients and internal stakeholders at all levels.
*Proficient in Excel and accounting software (ProAudit, IRIS, Xero, Sage).
*Full UK driving licence and use of a car, as the role involves visiting client sites.
Senior Accountant - Salary & Benefits
*Salary: £40,000 - £50,000
*Working hours: 38 hours per week
