JOB DESCRIPTION

(About the Job)
CSIS (Citi Security Investigative Services) is a corporate security function operating across more than 100 countries, responsible for the security and safety of Citi’s employees and facilities. CSIS leads Citi’s response during security incidents and crisis events, valuing employees who prioritize the well-being of colleagues and respond with urgency to a diverse range of incidents.
This role focuses on program management rather than direct execution, overseeing and coordinating comprehensive security and safety programs for Citi businesses. The primary goal is to maintain a safe environment for clients and employees, protect company assets, and respond effectively to security incidents, thereby safeguarding Citi’s integrity and reputation. This position requires a strategic approach to managing complex security programs across multiple countries or large geographies, ensuring alignment with Citi Security Policy and Standards.

(What Does It Take to Be In This Role)
The CSIS Security Travel Security and People Safety Program Manager will lead the development, implementation, and management of global security programs with a strong emphasis on travel security, people safety, and special risks. This involves a comprehensive understanding of risk management principles and the ability to integrate diverse security measures to protect Citi’s personnel and assets.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and external stakeholders, including vendors, local authorities, and law enforcement. This role requires the ability to drive program maturity, ensure continuous improvement, and adapt to evolving global security landscapes. It also entails the ownership and annual review of the CSIS Security Special Risks program and oversight of the California Workplace Violence Program.

*Drive adherence to program processes, procedures, methods, and standards for program delivery.
*Direct the creation of multiple programs of work and manage their alignment to business goals.
*Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets.

*Oversee the development and implementation of Workplace Violence Prevention Plans (WVPPs) for all applicable California facilities, including hazard assessments, training, and incident logging.
*Ensure that all security programs meet business requirements and local legal and regulatory requirements.
*Conduct regular reviews and audits of security programs to identify gaps and ensure timely remediation.
*Collaborate with Legal and Compliance teams to interpret and apply security-related laws, rules, and regulations across all programs.
