Accounts Administrator
Office-Based | Northampton
Circa £28,000 per annum | Full-Time | Immediate Start
Are you an experienced accounts professional looking for a varied, long-term role within a growing services business? Our client, a well-established property services company based in Northampton, is seeking a confident and organised Accounts Administrator to join their small, friendly team.
The Role
This is a broad and varied position combining day-to-day accounts responsibilities with general office administration. You’ll play a key role in assisting with the smooth running of both the finance function and wider office operation.
This is initially an office-based role, with potential scope for some hybrid flexibility in the future.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Duties:
*Managing purchase and sales ledgers
*Processing invoices, payments and expenses
*Bank reconciliations
*Preparing and submitting VAT returns
*Assisting with month-end procedures
*Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records
*Supporting financial reporting and liaising with external accountants where required
Administrative & Office Support:
*Handling incoming and outgoing correspondence (emails, post and telephone enquiries)
*General office administration and document management
*Maintaining organised filing systems (digital and paper-based)
*Supporting the wider team with administrative tasks
*Assisting with scheduling, supplier communications and general office coordination
About You
*Proven experience in a bookkeeping & accounts administration (essential)
*Comfortable managing your own workload within a small team environment
*Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
*Confident communicator, both written and verbal
*Experience with Sage is highly desirable (but not essential)
*Experience within property development, sales or rental sectors would be advantageous
