Part-Time Financial Adviser (Level 4 Qualified) - Hybrid Working
3 Days Per Week
£25,000 - £30,000
We are seeking an experienced, client-focused Financial Adviser to provide high-quality, regulated pension advice and ongoing servicing to an established client base. This part-time role is ideal for a professional who values delivering excellent outcomes, maintaining strong client relationships, and upholding the highest standards of compliance.
As a key member of the advice function, you will conduct client reviews, analyse pension arrangements, and make suitable recommendations aligned with FCA requirements, Consumer Duty, and Treating Customers Fairly principles. The role also includes oversight of an Administrative Assistant who supports with document preparation and case processing.
Key Responsibilities
Client Advice & Reviews
*Conduct and oversee annual reviews for ongoing advice clients.
*Assess pension arrangements, fund performance, beneficiary nominations, income withdrawals, and alignment with client objectives.
*Analyse pension policy information and provide suitable, compliant recommendations.
*Provide regulated advice on retirement options including drawdown, annuities, PCLS and tax-efficient strategies.
*Identify and appropriately support vulnerable clients.
Case Management & Compliance
*Sign off and review Annual Review Suitability Reports and all client-facing communications.
*Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including fact finds, objectives and review outcomes.
*Ensure all advice meets Consumer Duty outcomes and internal suitability standards.
*Prepare comparison illustrations and provider research where required.
*Assess tax implications such as emergency tax, reclaim opportunities and income sustainability.
Operational Oversight
*Provide guidance and oversight to the Administrative Assistant involved in preparing client documentation and processing pension transactions.
*Manage and approve pension transactions such as investment changes, income strategies and death benefit nominations.
*Identify and mitigate client risks including sequencing risk, fund depletion, and potential loss of benefits.
*Contribute to the development and refinement of existing advice processes.
Skills & Competencies
*Strong technical knowledge of pensions, taxation and retirement planning.
*High levels of integrity with a commitment to achieving the right client outcomes.
*Excellent time management and ability to prioritise workload independently.
*Ability to produce clear, concise and compliant suitability reports.
*Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and adviser back-office systems.
Qualifications & Regulatory Requirements
*Level 4 Diploma in Financial Advice (or equivalent) – essential
*Must meet FCA requirements as an approved person (assessed annually)

*Delivery of annual reviews and suitability reports within agreed timelines
*Quality and compliance of advice (as measured through internal file checks)
*Efficient progression of client cases with strong collaboration across the advice team
*Positive client feedback and ongoing service retention
*Contribution to process improvements and operational effectiveness
