Quality Assurance Officer - Pharmaceuticals - West Molesey, Surrey
Smart4 Sciences is partnering with a leading pharmaceutical supplier, to recruit a Quality Assurance Officer. This is a full-time, permanent role within a small QA team, offering broad exposure to GMP quality assurance and the chance to take ownership of key compliance processes.
This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with pharmaceutical GMP experience who are looking to transition into QA or expand their expertise in a dynamic environment.
The Role As Quality Assurance Officer, you will support all aspects of GMP compliance and QMS maintenance, working closely with colleagues across the company. Responsibilities include managing PQS trackers, preparing and reviewing SOPs, responding to MHRA alerts/notifications, and ensuring timely closure of deviations, CAPAs, complaints, and change controls. You will also conduct investigations and root cause analysis, provide real-time QA support across departments, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities * Manage PQS trackers and ensure timely closure of deviations, CAPAs, complaints, and change controls
* Conduct investigations and root cause analysis, producing clear summary reports
* Prepare, review, and maintain SOPs and QA documentation
* Support supplier/vendor approvals, technical agreements, and supply chain approvals for APIs and excipients
* Respond to MHRA alerts/notifications and contribute to continuous improvement projects
* Provide QA support across departments, attending meetings and resolving quality issues
About You We are seeking a detail-driven professional with:
* Pharmaceutical background and GMP experience (QA experience desirable)
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to conduct investigations and root cause analysis
* Organized, adaptable, and able to manage multiple tasks/projects
* Right to work in the UK permanently
