Are you an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Fitter looking to take your career to the next level?
Our client in Northumberland is seeking a Heavy Plant Fitter to join their dynamic maintenance team, where every day brings new challenges and opportunities!
About the Role:
We are on the lookout for an experience Maintenance Fitter who is passionate about keeping machinery in top condition. You’ll be working with a diverse range of cargo handling equipment, including Forklift Trucks (FLT), cranes, and heavy plant machinery. Your expertise in servicing and repairing these vital tools will be invaluable to our operations!
Key Responsibilities:
*Perform regular servicing and maintenance on various cargo handling equipment.
*Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues efficiently.
*Assist with loading and unloading of cargo, ensuring the smooth operation of port activities.
*Learn and engage in all aspects of Stevedoring, including operating plant and equipment as required.
*Be flexible and maintain a can-do attitude in a fast-paced environment.
What We’re Looking For:
*Proven experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Fitter, especially with FLT, cranes, and heavy plant.
*A flexible approach to work, including availability for shifts and weekends.
*A full driving licence is essential, as our operations span across four sites.
*A proactive and positive attitude towards teamwork and problem-solving.
