SEN Teaching Assistant - Castle Cary
Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 08:45-15:15 | ASAP Start
Prospero Teaching are looking for a passionate and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Castle Cary. This is a full-time, ongoing position supporting a Year 2 pupil 1:1 who is currently presenting challenging behaviour.
The school are seeking someone calm, patient and confident in helping children regulate emotions, manage behaviour and access learning in a positive, structured way.
About the Role *Supporting a Year 2 pupil 1:1 with challenging behaviour
*Providing consistent emotional and behavioural support
*Working closely with class teachers and the SENCO
*Helping the pupil engage in learning and daily routines
*Creating a safe, trusting, supportive environment
Hours & Location *Monday to Friday
*08:45 - 15:15
*Based in Castle Cary
*Full-time, long-term
Requirements *Experience supporting challenging behaviour, SEMH or SEN
*A calm, nurturing and resilient approach
*Ability to build positive, trusting relationships
*Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)
*Right to work in the UK
