Production Controller
Location: Twyford
Salary: £40,000 – £42,000 DOE
Hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday

Are you an experienced Production Controller with a strong background in production control or end-to-end order management within a manufacturing environment?
We are recruiting for a highly organised and proactive Production Controller to join a well-established manufacturing business. This is a pivotal role where you will take ownership of customer orders from receipt through to final delivery, ensuring smooth workflow, on-time production, and efficient material planning.
This position would suit someone who thrives in a fast-paced factory environment and understands the importance of coordination across production, procurement, and planning.
Key Responsibilities
*Order Processing & Scheduling
*Review and process incoming customer orders accurately and efficiently.
*Create and manage production schedules to meet delivery deadlines.
*Prioritise jobs based on production capacity, material availability, and customer requirements.
*Provide clear order status updates to internal teams and customers where required.
Production Coordination
*Monitor work-in-progress to ensure orders move smoothly through each stage of the factory.
*Identify bottlenecks and work closely with production teams to resolve issues promptly.
*Ensure all job documentation, drawings, and specifications are available and accurate.
*Liaise with the Factory Manager to maintain workflow efficiency and output targets.
Material Planning & Procurement
*Review material requirements aligned to production schedules.
*Raise purchase orders for raw materials, components, and consumables.
*Track supplier lead times and ensure on-time material delivery.
*Support stock control and maintain accurate inventory levels.
*Data & Reporting
*Maintain accurate ERP/MRP system records.
*Analyse production data to support continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
Essential:
*Proven experience in Production Control or end-to-end Order Management within a manufacturing environment.
*Strong understanding of production scheduling and material planning.
*Experience using ERP or MRP systems.
*Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
*Confident communicator with the ability to liaise across departments.
*Able to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
