Primary Teaching Assistant - Specialist Behaviour Setting
Warwick | Full-Time | Term Time Only | Salary dependent on experience

We are seeking a dedicated, resilient, and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our outstanding primary school in Warwick. Rated Outstanding by Ofsted, our school is proud of its inclusive ethos, high expectations, and unwavering commitment to supporting every child to succeed.

This role involves working with primary-aged pupils who may present with challenging behaviour and additional social, emotional, and mental health needs. It is a highly rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a supportive and exceptionally well-led environment.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

Support pupils across the primary age range, both in class and through targeted interventions

Work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to maintain a structured, nurturing learning environment

Implement behaviour support strategies and individual support plans

Provide one-to-one and small group support

Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and engagement with learning

Build strong, consistent relationships based on trust, clear boundaries, and high expectations

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

Has experience working with primary-aged children, ideally within behaviour, SEMH, or additional needs settings

Remains calm, confident, and consistent when managing challenging behaviour

Demonstrates strong communication and de-escalation skills

Is patient, empathetic, and committed to inclusion

Shares our high expectations for both behaviour and achievement

Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant) are desirable, and training in behaviour management approaches is advantageous. Ongoing professional development will be provided.
