Role: Mechanical Design Engineer

Type: Full Time, 37 hours per week

Salary:Up to £65k p/a (Pro-rata) on a 6-month FTC

Hours: Mon-Thurs: 7:30am-6:00pm and Fri: 7:30am-3:30pm

Location: Cheltenham, Gloucestershire

Owen Daniels have partnered with a leading manufacturing company and we are recruiting for a Mechanical Design Engineer due to growth in the business.

Mechanical Design Engineer – Key responsibilities:

*Develop, cost-effective mechanical designs that are safe to build, test and maintain, ensuring suitability for purpose.
*Produce mechanical components and assemblies, including 3D CAD models and fully detailed 2D manufacturing drawings.
*Manage materials and components, compile parts lists, and maintain accurate data.
*Collaborate with colleagues and external partners to refine designs, meeting agreed deadlines and contributing to reports and meetings as required.


Mechanical Design Engineer - Essential Skills & Experience:

*HNC Mechanical Engineering or Higher
*Proven track record in mechanical design engineering
*Strong understanding of GD&T and material properties
*Fully competent in SolidWorks
