Salary: £30,000 – £35,000
Location: Melton, Suffolk
Working Arrangements: Office based

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone already working within financial planning or a similar role, who is looking to progress into a trainee advisory role within a supportive, values-driven business.

Experience & Skills Required
*Minimum of 12 months experience within the financial services industry or a similar role
*Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

*Strong IT skills and confidence using financial planning technology
Working Week
*Monday to Friday
*9am-5pm
*Opportunity to move to a hybrid working arrangement following a period of service
About the Role
As an Administrator/Trainee Financial Planner, you will play a key role in supporting advisers and the wider financial planning team while developing the skills and experience required to progress into a client-facing planning role.
The position offers a balanced mix of administration, paraplanning support and client interaction, giving you hands-on exposure to the full financial planning process. You’ll work closely with senior team members to support ongoing client relationships, assist with the delivery of high-quality service, and build your technical knowledge through structured training, mentoring and support towards professional qualifications.
Key Responsibilities
*Building strong, long-term relationships with clients under the guidance of senior team members
*Assisting in the delivery of an engaging and high-quality ongoing service to clients, learning how to understand and respond to their individual needs
*Supporting the financial planning team with administration and paraplanning tasks, ensuring efficient processes and smooth handovers
*Collaborating closely with advisers and colleagues, learning best practices and contributing to the delivery of high-quality financial advice
*Supporting the ongoing financial planning process, including client reviews and service updates
*Undertaking continuous professional development (CPD) to ensure skills, knowledge, and understanding remain up to date with industry trends and best practice
*Assisting in the development of professional referral relationships, gaining exposure to networking and relationship management across multiple disciplines
