A well-established School Trust in Wakefield is seeking a confident, proactive technician to join their team as soon as possible to provide short-term cover. With the Trust recruiting permanently, this role has genuine potential to become temp-to-perm for the right person.
The Role
You’ll be supporting staff and students across the Trust with day-to-day IT issues, ensuring systems run smoothly and learning is uninterrupted. This is a hands-on role where your school-based experience will really shine.Key Responsibilities
*Providing first-line and second-line IT support across the school
*Troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues
*Maintaining devices, peripherals, and classroom technology
*Supporting staff with technical queries and system access
*Ensuring smooth running of ICT suites and AV equipment
*Assisting with general IT administration and maintenance tasks
RequirementsThese are essential for this role:
*Previous experience working as an IT Technician in a school setting
*A valid DBS on the Update Service - or willingness to apply for one
*Ability to start immediately
*Strong communication and problem-solving skills
*A proactive, calm, and supportive approach
