Job Description:
Job Title: Head Chef
Location: Southend
Remuneration: £31,000 - £33,000
Full Time, 37.5hrs (7am to 3pm/10.30am to 6pm)
Contract Details: Permanent
**you we be required to work alternate weekends**
Responsibilities:
*Lead and inspire a dedicated catering team to deliver exceptional service, meeting all dietary requirements.
*Manage the food cycle with an emphasis on quality and hygiene, ensuring compliance with regulations.
*Collaborate for menu consultations and feedback.
*Oversee special dietary needs while adhering to allergen regulations.
*Provide operational support for the in-house café, including stock management and waste control.
*Conduct regular budget meetings, ensuring financial compliance and addressing any overspend.
*Maintain well-stocked communal areas with refreshments and snacks.
*Conduct risk assessments, ensuring safety standards are upheld in the kitchen.
*Supervise and develop catering staff, managing rotas and recruitment processes.
*Participate in health and safety planning and contribute to quality audits.
