Protection Adviser
Salary: Up to £35,000 Basic, OTE £50,000-£55,000
Location: Hemel Hempstead

Swarm Recruitment is searching for a Protection Adviser for a well-established mortgage and protection broker. Our client is a well established mortgage and protection brokerage based in Hemel Hempstead, with over 20 years’ experience supporting clients across the UK. They are passionate about securing the most suitable mortgage solutions for their clients, while also ensuring individuals and families are protected and able to remain in their homes, whatever life may bring.
Their advisers have access to a comprehensive range of mortgage and protection options, enabling them to support clients based on individual needs and circumstances. They take time to explain the available options, guide clients through the process and handle applications with lenders and providers on their behalf.


Salary & Benefits:
*Realistic earning potential of £50,000–£55,000 once a strong pipeline has been established through consistent performance
*£30,000–£35,000 basic salary
*Strong commission structure up to 25%
*Leads provided through adviser referrals, along with access to a strong existing back book of clients to nurture and develop a consistent pipeline

*20 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing with length of service

Working Hours:
*Standard hours of Monday to Thursday is 9am–5:30pm, Friday working hours are from 9am-3pm
*2 days a week in the office
*No weekend working required, however flexibility is expected to meet client needs


Experience:
*Previous experience as a Protection Adviser (minimum 12 months preferred)
*Strong product knowledge and understanding of the protection market
*Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
*A proactive and self-motivated approach, with a track record of hitting targets


Responsibilities & Duties:
*Provide protection advice to clients, covering life insurance, critical illness, income protection and relevant general insurance products
*Conduct thorough fact-finds and client reviews to assess individual needs and recommend appropriate protection solutions
*Manage and develop relationships with new and existing clients, ensuring a high standard of customer service throughout the advice process
*Work closely with mortgage advisers to support clients with protection requirements and maximise cross-referral opportunities
*Maintain accurate client records and documentation in line with FCA regulations and company compliance standards
*Proactively manage your pipeline, follow up on leads and work towards agreed performance and revenue targets
