This role is ideal for individuals looking to build a long-term career as a Trainee Mortgage Advisor or Trainee Mortgage Broker, even if you do not currently hold CeMAP 1.
You will join in a client services role with a clear, structured pathway into a fully qualified mortgage advisory position.
Career Progression & Training
This company offers genuine long-term progression into a Trainee Mortgage Advisor role:
First 6 Months:
*Work within the client services team handling incoming mortgage enquiries
*Pre-qualify customers and arrange appointments for mortgage brokers
*Build knowledge of mortgages and financial services
After 6-Month Probation:
*Enrol onto the Trainee Mortgage Broker course
*Full support and funding to pass CeMAP 1
After Passing CeMAP 1:
Opportunity to apply for a Trainee Mortgage Advisor position including:
*3-week fully expensed residential training programme
*Full support from experienced Mortgage Sales Manager
*Ongoing mentoring from dedicated training department
*Clear progression to qualified mortgage advisor
The Role
Working within a supportive team in Cardiff, you will:
*Handle incoming mortgage enquiries
*Pre-qualify customers and assess eligibility
*Book appointments for in-house mortgage advisors
*Contact existing clients due for remortgage in 6–12 months
*Confirm appointments with customers and advisors
*Manage bookings via Outlook diary and CRM system
*Build strong internal relationships
*Work towards appointment and performance targets
This is a professional telephone-based role, not a high-pressure call centre.
You will make approximately 50 calls per week (around 10 per day).
Requirements
*Excellent communication and customer service skills
*Confident telephone manner
*Target-driven and motivated by earnings
*Desire to build a career as a Trainee Mortgage Advisor or Trainee Mortgage Broker
*Willingness to study and pass CeMAP 1 (fully funded)
*Positive, professional and enthusiastic attitude
No mortgage experience required.
