Contracts Manager (Compliance)

Job Description:
Positive Employment is currently recruiting for a Contract Manager (Compliance) for our client a government organisation in Gosport, England.
The successful post holder will be responsible for managing our contracts for electrical inspection and testing, fire risk assessments and servicing, and lift servicing. From time to time, additional compliance activities, known as Tier 2 disciplines may be added to the Compliance team’s responsibilities. The overall objective is to drive the compliance activities to deliver 100% compliance and keep our residents and other building users safe.


Duties and Responsibilities but not limited to:


*EFL Electric, Fire and Lifts.


*Responsible for verifying contractor billing and ensuring it is in line with contractual agreements.


*Ensure that the Compliance team, the contractors and GBC colleagues are working together coherently, to gain access to properties.


*Chairing and managing monthly contract meetings for each of the three disciplines, ensuring KPIs are achieved, minutes kept and actions noted and monitored.


*Support and deputise as appropriate for the Compliance Manager to manage all resources available, to ensure that the Compliance team can meet its objectives.


*Assist with the specification and procurement of contracts. You will also be required to attend operational and strategic meetings when necessary.


*Liaise with customers and stakeholders as appropriate, regarding the compliance activities in your remit, including residents, leaseholders, local councillors, building users and other Gosport BC section heads.


*Apply cost control and budget management techniques. Demonstrate commercial awareness, exercise financial control and assess value for money for the service provided, when evaluating the contractors’ applications for payment of invoices.


*Using all Microsoft packages; in particular to demonstrate practical IT skills using Word when preparing letters, reports and specifications and Excel spreadsheets to analyse data.


*Loading legacy documentation and manage the outcomes.


*Communicate with a range of different types and levels of compliance stakeholders, including leading meetings, providing presentations and supplying written reports.


Personal Requirements:
*Experience in Asbestos, Gas & Water and/or experience of working with at least one of electrical and fire within the compliance environment.


*Knowledge of the regulations surrounding electrical inspections and testing and fire risk assessments and the completion of resulting actions.


*Any knowledge of LOLER would be beneficial.


Working Hours: 37hrs / Monday - Friday
Pay: £450 per day
