Hays Education is looking for confident, adaptable SEN Cover Supervisors to support a range of specialist and mainstream schools across Northamptonshire. Whether you’re an aspiring teacher, an experienced support professional, or someone passionate about helping young people with additional needs, this role offers the perfect balance of flexibility and meaningful impact.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills by supporting students with:
*Autism/ASC
*Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs
*Communication & interaction needs
*Learning difficulties
*Physical or sensory needs

What You’ll Be Doing
As an SEN Cover Supervisor, you’ll help keep learning consistent and positive by:
* Delivering pre-prepared work in the teacher’s absence
* Supporting students with SEN to access and engage with learning
* Managing behaviour calmly and professionally using school strategies
* Encouraging independence, confidence and positive routines
* Working closely with SENCOs and support teams
* Ensuring any safeguarding concerns are promptly reported to the DSL

What We’re Looking For
You’ll thrive in this role if you have:
* Experience working with young people or vulnerable groups (SEN experience desirable but not essential)
* Confidence managing classrooms or small SEN groups
* A patient, understanding and proactive approach
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills
* Flexibility to work across a variety of school settings
* A genuine passion for supporting students with diverse needs
