Job Description:
Quantum Scholars are currently working with a fantastic secondary school in Bedfordshire who are seeking a qualified and experienced Spanish Teacher to join them immediately. This is a short-term position running through to Easter.
The school is a co-educational secondary with a sixth form, recognised for its strong focus on academic achievement, personal development and high-quality pastoral care. They deliver a knowledge-rich curriculum across KS3, GCSE and A-Level, and have been rated "Good" by Ofsted.
Responsibilities * Plan and deliver engaging and well-structured Spanish lessons across KS3, KS4 and potentially KS5.

* Prepare students thoroughly for GCSE and A-Level examinations, ensuring strong progress and attainment.

* Develop pupils’ skills across speaking, listening, reading and writing.

* Promote confidence in communication and an appreciation of Spanish language and culture.

* Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners, including high-achieving students and those with SEND.

* Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports excellent behaviour for learning.

* Assess, monitor and report on student progress in line with school policies.

* Provide clear and constructive feedback to support pupil development and exam readiness.

* Contribute to curriculum planning and the continued development of the Modern Foreign Languages department.

* Attend departmental meetings, parents’ evenings and wider school events.

* Uphold the school’s safeguarding policies and maintain high professional standards at all times.

Requirements * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

* A degree in Spanish or a closely related subject.

* Proven experience teaching Spanish at secondary level.

* Strong subject knowledge and confidence teaching across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable).

* Experience preparing students for GCSE (and ideally A-Level) examinations.

* Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate learners.

* A commitment to high standards of teaching, learning and pastoral care.

* An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

* The right to work in the UK.
